CAROLYN WILLIAMS | Trustee

My name is Carolyn Williams, I accepted Christ as my Savior when I was thirteen years old. My Sunday School teacher gave us an assignment to mark our Bibles with the Roman Road to Salvation. As I was marking my Bible and reading the verses I realized I had never repented of my sins and asked Jesus to come into my heart. I knelt by my bed and prayed, asking Jesus to come into my heart.

I was able to stay home and raise my three children until I was aged 35. I prayed for God to lead me to a job because I needed to send my oldest son to college. The Lord revealed to me that I could become a police officer. I was accepted by the Houston Police Department and worked there for twenty two years before retiring.

My husband and I are both retired and spend time volunteering at our church, South Main Baptist Pasadena, Texas. I am the director of the Pathfinders Class Bible study department. We also spend time with our children and grandchildren and enjoy traveling. We once went on a mission trip with Buckner International to Kenya to dedicate a water well that was donated by one of our church members. We also visited orphanages and schools while we were there.

We and our department are praying for the renovations to be made to Azama College School in Otuo, Edo State, Nigeria, and have made donations to help with the many needed repairs to the school so the children will have a safe and sound learning environment.
