SCHOLARSHIP FUND RAISING
Azama College has over 2000 students. The annual school fees, tuitions including books, uniform and a pair of tennis shoe or sanders is $20.00 US Dollars per annum. Scholarship drive for 100 (one hundred) students will equal (100 x $20.00) $2000.00

EDUCATING WOMEN AND GIRLS
The conquest of poverty has become the overarching goal of Azama Progressive Foundations, and the theme before the foundation today goes to the heart of the matter -- for full employment and work, empowering women and eradicating poverty are all mutually reinforcing goals.
Education is an inalienable human right, guaranteed under the Convention on the Rights of the Child, among other instruments. Quality basic education for all is vital to society because it produces people who can contribute to the economic and social development that is required to eradicate poverty.
The focus of Azama Progressive Foundations efforts is on achieving quality basic education, especially for girls and women, as a central requirement for ensuring their empowerment and advancement.
The education of girls and women impacts the rest of the societies in which these girls and women live. A woman’s degree of education is linked to the age at which she marries and has children, to her health and diseases, to her economic opportunities, to her social standing, and to her general future wellbeing. Educating girls and women can reduce poverty in Otuo community, as well as in the United States.
Azama Progressive Foundation will provide, promote and encourage the acquisition of skills in Sewing industry and commerce with a view to generating a pool of indigenous trained womanpower sufficient to meet the needs of the Otuo community of the Nigerian economy. Sectors of the economy.
ERADICATE MATERNAL, CHILD HEALTH PROBLEMS
According to USAID (2018), maternal and child health is one of Nigeria's most critical development challenges. Health indicators in Nigeria are some of the worst in Africa. The country has one of the fastest growing populations globally. With 5.5 live births per woman and a population growth rate of 3.2 percent annually, it is estimated to reach 440 million people by 2050. With its rapidly growing population and development challenges, the country drags down the socioeconomic indicators for the entire African continent (USAID, 2018. As a result, Azama Progressive Foundation placing primary healthcare problems in order to eradicate problems associated with maternal and child health, which have over the years taken a great toll on the community. Primary healthcare formed the bedrock of health activities for the community, Azama Progressive Foundation will involve medical practitioner in the community in the campaign for immunization, HIV/AIDS, Tuberculosis, Malaria Typhoid fever, Child Nutrition and other related activities in enlightening the local population.
AGRICULTURE AND FOOD SECURITY
Azama Progressive Foundation agriculture and food security program will help increase agricultural productivity, expand market participation, increase resilience of vulnerable households, improve business enabling environment and increase access to finance.
We will help create an environment for agricultural growth and business development by building the skills and ability of policy analysts to advocate for improved trade and transportation infrastructure. We will also promote improve dissemination of agricultural technologies by the community.
Our focus will be on rice, maize, cowpea and cashew production linking farmers to specialized markets, which increases overall competitiveness, incomes, and employment in the agricultural sector. These activities reduce poverty by increasing incomes, improving nutrition, and building household resilience to external shocks.
HUNGER IN HOUSTON TEXAS
The economy may be improving according to President Donald Trump, but the recovery is still leaving many of Houstonians who were hit the hardest behind. Thousands of people are still struggling to get bye because of underemployment, stagnant wages and rising costs of living. A study released earlier this year found that nearly 500,000 people are served every year by hunger-relief agencies in the city. And about 85 percent of the people who go for a meal to a food bank, a soup kitchen, a shelter or another charity are from households where at least one person works, the study said.
Azama Foundation will disseminate information and access to food pantries, food kitchens nearest location. We will network with Houston food banks to help provide for the needy. 98% of all donations raised will go directly into programs serving people of needs.
